Macs Tech with 20 years of unique experience in the ceramic sector, has developed a suite of products devoted to solving the problems faced by the ceramic industry. After initially developing simple yet powerful sorting machines, still in production, it has been created the first color management system specifically designed for the ceramic industry.

Based on self-designed spectral scanner technology, it guarantees perfect reproduction of original surfaces, including both natural and artificial materials such as ceramic tiles.

Keracromia, Macs Tech’s core product, is the innovative application suite which aims to solve the reproducibility issue of the ceramic industry. Through the innovative technology, products can be created with the correct color tone regardless of variations in production conditions, such as different printers, inks, sizes, glazes or kilns.

Role & responsibilities

The Application Specialist provides day-to- day technical incident, problem, training and configuration support for the Keracromia software suite installed on customer desktop as well as for the “as a service” solution in a cloud environment.
In this capacity, the candidate installs, configures, and troubleshoots the software and may assist with other issues in a heterogeneous environment. S/he communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. While functioning in the role, this individual may suggest hardware and software solutions or alternatives while adhering to the department standards, policies, and procedures. S/he may participate in the development of new functionalities, products and other related processes and projects. The Application Specialist is responsible for the configuration, testing, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of software equipment for client. This candidate follows specific configuration checklists and process for the configuration of assets for client. In this role, s/he ensures assets are tested and any special configuration needs are addressed.

S/he should answer to customer request and give the appropriate assistance after the evaluation of the problem raised. When needed S/he goes to customer site to perform training or to give the appropriate support.

His/Her main responsibilities are

  • Answer, evaluate, and prioritize requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with Keracromia software and eventually other IT related technologies issues
  • Document and track work in an incident Management Ticket recording system as appropriate, assign tickets to other support or resolver teams and assist with the warranty repair process.
  • Assist with maintaining asset inventory tracking and licensing information.
  • Responsible for communicating site requirements to R&D.
  • Responsible for limited training of site personnel
  • Provides user support on remote connectivity issues using various technologies (VPN, TeamViewer).
  • Install, configure, test and maintain the application software and system management tools
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide technical support or warranty claims with IT Equipment vendors.

Qualifications - Key knowledge & skills

  • Experience and successful delivery of support services.
  • Experience of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the need to meet customer expectations and that all jobs must be completed to the satisfaction of the client/customer.

Education & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Business discipline or equivalent work experience in a relevant technical area
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux and Windows based environments.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English language;

EXPERT DEVELOPER

Her/His responsibility will be to develop, maintain and keep the suite always up to date with the customer requirements.

He/She works closely with the developer team to evaluate the possible solution, prepares statements of work, documentation and develop and deploys solutions.

The candidate will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

His/Her main responsibilities are

  • Implement and maintain application written in C++
  • Be responsible for customer installation, configuration and testing
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Manage the operational support activities

WEB SYSTEM ENGINEER

The candidate should implement, maintain and support a web-based service interface, administrate the Linux server side and concern about system administration issues or network concerns.

He/She works closely with the developer team to evaluate the possible solution, prepares statements of work, documentation and develop and deploys solutions.

You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

His/Her main responsibilities are

  • Implement and maintain the application interface written in QT
  • Implement and maintain the server-side application written in C++
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Manage the operational support activities
